Our second speaker Sue Stephenson and her long-suffering husband Brian, arrived to talk about their move to a run-down, rat-infested Puddle Paddock – all they had was a walnut tree, an acre of grass and a barn. By the end of their talk, we all wondered why they had moved from their lovely Briar Cottage with all mod cons! Why they tolerated the noise from fighter jet pilots deliberately flying overhead to frighten the locals, why take on the need to completely renovate a new cottage and create a completely new garden, and as for the rats??
Mistakenly we thought that Sue would talk about her plants, believe it or not she is a plants woman and certainly knows her subject. Subsequently we learned that this is the subject of Part 2!
