There were some amazing exhibits of tomatoes and dahlias that brightened up the tables beautifully. There were also delicious looking cakes, scones, jams, beautiful items of handicraft, photographs, a children\u2019s section, to name just a few. In the afternoon the doors opened for viewing. It was nice to see such a cross section of people that came to have a look at the exhibits, enter the raffle, have a go at the tombolas and enjoy tea with homemade cakes. Despite the very hot dry summer we experienced this year, we managed to get enough entries on our tables to make the event a success. We welcomed Sir William Russell who presented all the trophies.
