Sadly, the club tour to Yorkshire has had to be cancelled due to the uncertainty of the current travel situation.

When it would be safe for meetings to begin again?

We have to be realistic and consider whether or not members would feel comfortable to venture out just yet as the virus will be with us for some time to come – with much regret we have decided to cancel all our meetings until October 2021.

This means that our Garden Show will now not take place as planned in September.

However, we are not too downhearted as we will have lots to celebrate in 2022 as this will be our Diamond year!  Yes, it will be our 60th Anniversary and we aim to make our 2022 Garden Show a truly splendid occasion.

I am so sorry to have to relay unwelcome news but – better safe than sorry!  Let’s look forward to the autumn when the Gardening Club can resume its schedule as follows :-

1 October – Melanie Collins – Mickfield Hostas.

5 November – Fred Wilding – A year in the allotment

3 December – Geoff Hodge – Weeds and the weed free garden

Keep safe and well

Mary Duff
